We are accountable for our decisions in our personal life
so why shouldn’t we be just as accountable in our work life.

— Catherine Pulsifer

Welcome, Inspired Traveler:

Happy November — the month of giving thanks! Here at InspirationInProgress we are thankful for all of your support and business over the last year and for the connections that will be extended into the coming year. We are also thankful for those in our world who understand and live a life of accountability — both inside and outside of the workplace.

In an age where accepting responsibility seems to be missing in most areas of life, we are blessed to work with individuals who hold accountability as one of their core values. I spoke with many of these clients, colleagues and friends about this most important topic and learned how they encourage others to accept the glory of accomplishment as well as the lessons learned from results that fell short. This is what I learned from them:

Commit to full team membership! Encourage, support, question and celebrate — individually and collectively. All. The. Time.
Commit to being open minded. Responsibility begins with accepting our role in both successes and failures. No blame game. Ever.
Commit to continuous improvement. Improvement means being open to change and willing to flex. Innovate. Question. Own the results.
Commit to surrounding yourself with positive people. It is hard to see the possibilities when department vampires who suck the energy out of the room are allowed to continue. Minimize contact with them. Create high energy environments. Breathe. Them. In.
Commit to clarity. Clear, non-judgmental behavior supports efforts, focuses on results, and saves the drama for your mama! Own the process and the result. Be. Perfectly. Clear.

An increase in self-accountability makes our lives more fulfilling and creates results that are successful and respected. And isn’t that something we are all thankful for!

This month we are speaking and training in The Hamptons, New York City and Little Rock. If you are in those areas and would like to book a session, we will give you a deal that will make you thankful you called!

Wishing you, your family and friends a most joyous Thanksgiving filled with laughter, love and friendships celebrated in style!

Be Magnificent! Have an Inspirational Day!
